Arrest Warrant for Horse Theft
An 1869 warrant, signed by Governor William E. Stevenson, for the arrest of Samuel Wormley. The document states that Wormley was wanted in Maryland for stealing a horse, and orders the Sheriff of Berkeley County to deliver Wormley to a Maryland law officer.

Two microfilm copies of a merchant's day book from Middletown in Berkeley County, West Virginia, from 1 January 1795 to 31 December 1798. Records goods purchased, amount, date of purchase, and name of customer. Goods include food, such as spirits, sugar, salt, flour, and corn; paper, pins, shoe heels, combs, saddles, and other household items. This material is available on microfilm only.
